Project Life Sweden | A brand new blog

This post is for my Swedish followers, or anyone really that reads Swedish :)

I have been invited to be a designer for a brand new blog all about Project Life. We want to spread the word about the great way to memorykeep to Sweden! 

I am super excited! My first post is up on Tuesday!

WCS | March sketch

Did you know that every month we have a sketch for you at WCS?

Well, it just happens that we do and I played along this month. I have never been much of a sketchy girl before, but this last year I have been more and more inspired by them. 

This saturday you got to see the March sketch and also, among others, my layout based on it. 

Instead of patterned papers underneath the photos, I used washitape and used the tags not for journaling, but for a subtitle. 

Go ahead and play along and don´t forget to show your work!

Memorykeeping | Nephew and neices

For my birthday a few weeks ago my mom, sister and her kids came to celebrate a whole weekend! We live about 2.5 hours away from eachother, so I don´t get to see them all that often. As I love taking pictures, I clearly snapped a few during the weekend :) Here are a few of them that have made their way into the scrapbook album. 

First, taking good photos of layouts with white backgrounds has been a challenge for me lately. Maybe I need to check my white balance setting on my camera...oh well.

The story behind this photo is that we were having dinner, the kids had their own table and I happened to just glance over and have my camera ready to snap this shot. It made my heart sing. It made me super happy that they love eachother so much and are so happy to see eachother and hang out together even though my daughter is so much older that the others. 

The story behind the process of the page: I made the whole page and suddenly it didn´t look right. I became so unsure of if the saying would be makes my heart sing or make my heart sing without anything infront of the make. A quick question on FB ;) told me that I had made a mistake and I didn´t have any room to add an s och the word make. That is why I added the mini alphas they :) 

On sunday before they had to sit in the car for hours, I took the kids sledding. We had so much fun! 

Maybe I shouldn´t zoom in so much when I take photos of pages with white backgrounds, because this one turned out better than the first one...or maybe it is just the fact that I should wait until I have natural light and not try to fake it with my lamp at night ;) 

Project Life 2013 | week 10

 Week 10 of 2013.

It was just your typical week with work, school and stuff.

We took a lot of walks in the sunshine. I went with my daughter and spend some time in the stable.

We had a great parent/teacher conference and gave the car the first wash of the season.

We made it to the library twice this week! I have met another library lover!

I journaled about a gift I made my new love and typed out the books we picked out at the library. 



I love that pin! It is a ad thing they gave out at the library years ago.

And that is week 10!

Currently March 2013

Outside my window: I still see some snow on the ground, but know that the sunshine will help spring out a bit!

I am thinking: about alot of different things. How life sometimes seems a little complicated, that I still care to much about what other people think and how life will be like in the next coming months.

I am thankful: the love I feel around me, friendship, fellowship and laughter.

I am wearing: as it is freezing today, I just kept my jammies  on and just added an extra layer of sweatpants and a fleece ;)

I am creating: my weekly Project Life spread and 2 minibooks for WCS.

I am going: to finish up my projects, clean the table and have a very slow sunday night. 

I am hearing: my teenage daughter slamming doors unfortunately  ;) 

I am hoping: that the life things I am thinking about just resolve themselves in some magic way and I live happily ever after ;)

From the kitchen: today has been leftovers from my private chef (my new love is a chef you guys!) and I am making some pasta later today.

Memorykeeping | Kitties

Last month I did a page about my dog Melvin and how life is with him right now. In that post I stated that I really should do a page about each of our pets. In my last post, I shared one of our oldest cat and here are the two girls. 

Here is the youngest, Martha. She is a delight and talks all the time. She has so much energy and spunk!

I rarely use muted colors, I think, although I have used greys alot this past year. 

And then there is this one, Sally. She is such a special kitty. She is calm and just enjoys the life of a spoiled cat :)

Using black and white as my colors is something I need to do more of. It is both fun and a challenge to not reach for color. 

Apperently I was on a paint splatter high at the time when I made these :) I know that it has been done for a long time now, but I still feel like it adds a little bit of umph to a page rather simply.
