Exhibit | With iPhone photos

My new project that I have been sneaking with is a photo exhibit I will have very soon. I am excited to be showing my photos again. I have done it before, you can see a post about my first in 2010 here. The other times I have selected either floral or scenic photographs that I had taken with my DSLR. This time it is all iPhone pictures.

I had about two months to get ready and I did small tasks here and there, and am not feeling rushed or stressed.

The photos I selected are from a set called #heartsofnature. It is found hearts in nature, that I have found mostly on walks.

I decided to include a few of those hearts by showing them in a shadowbox.

I found a great deal on cards, so I ordered cards for sale. It is always fun to be able to take something small home from an exhibit, I think!

Wish me luck!

Just before March I decided that I wanted to make a photoproject for the month. Since i have done it before, I choose to make another Where I was in March project.

Here are the first ones.

Be Brave | One little word

I am not taking Ali Edwards class this year, but it feels good to have a new word to focus on. My word came to me just before Christmas as you can imagine. It was something I repeated to myself like a mantra: Ok, I need to be brave, I need to be brave...
I know that I will need to be brave alot this year as I (and my daughter) face a new chapter in our lives. Clearly I need to be (or atleast act like) brave for her, but also for myself. Now, when I just wrote that last sentence I thought: No! I want to teach her that yes, this breaks my heart and hurts so very much, but it will not breake me. I don´t want to act brave. I will act as an adult and try to explain stuff for her and I also want to teach her that I am going to my very best to be brave and make the best of what life hands me.

One of my favorite quotes about bravery was given to me a long time ago by my Canadian penpal:

"Courage doesn´t always roar. Sometimes it is that quiet voice at the end of the day saying; I will try again tomorrow."

Mary Anne Radmacher

The quote gives a sense of hope to me. Just the thought of that it is not always the big, heroic things that is a sign of bravery, but also the fact that you did your very best.

With that said I must share what my TUT (messages from the Universe) said a few days after I got the news of my husband wanting a divorce:

"In all things, Lisa, always and forever, simply wish the best for all involved without stating what you think that is. And then, whatever happens, know that it was."

Magic I call it! Because even though New Years Eve was a really low point for me, I have been very thoughtful and respectful in the sense of not having ill-feelings  towards my husband nor have I spoken badly about him to others. Simply trying to accept the facts and trying to slowly and quietly move on as best as I can.
Now, don´t give me the Nobel Peace Prize just yet! You never know how I will feel in a month or two :)

And lastly, I want to thank each and everyone of you again for comments, emails and private messages. You all have lifted me up by your encouragement and love. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You all make me a little more brave!

Moving forward into 2013

Here are the projects that I am going to do (continue to do) in 2013. I always feel that writing them down and share them here holds me more accountable ;)

I am certainly doing the PL project again in 2013. It has seriously changed how I think about memorykeeping! This is the thing I want to do, record our everyday lives! I am so happy that I kept up with this project all 52 weeks! It is amazing!

I am still going to do traditional scrapbooking pages. And I will keep taking the stories from the PL album and make a page when the story needs to be recorded in a deeper way. I might slip the scrapbook page into the PL album depending on how many I´ll make.

This project has been another one of my favorites! I am always pinning cool stuff I want to make, and sharing them with you all just makes it even more fun!

This is so true; I craft all the time. It is my escape I guess. I craft when I am happy. I craft when I am sad. It has gone so far that I can´t watch TV without a project in my hands ;)

I will do my Re-Scrap project this year too. Why not continue with something that obviously made scrap, right?!

Maybe there will be some more set projects that I will find during the year, but this is the plan for now.

What projects are you doing in 2013?

it is just a fun project where i have made 13 cards (and that got me to use up some of my scraps!) that i am going to send out to some of you. i am not going to say who i am sending them to, but if you don´t get one that does not mean i don´t love you ;)
