33 things about me right now

i wanted something that said who i am right now. so i made a list of 33 things (i turned 33 in february) about me right now. 

i decided to make a double pager with the list and some recent photos of me. here is the list:

1. i seem to be having trouble sleeping

2. i see that being a homebody is one thing, being antisocial another.

3. i love my mohawk.

4. i still love Patricia Cornwells books about Dr. Scarpetta.

5. i can´t wait until i get to work in my garden again.

6. i have felt some anxiety lately.

7. i, once agin, have a little to many projects going on.

8. my knee hurts, just like it did the first time 20 years ago.

9. i see better without my glasses when ii read or thread a needle.

10. i am super excited about going camping again this summer.

11. i feel like i need a change.

12. i carry an extra few punds.

13. i am not good with money, spending - yes, saving - no.

14. i still love my husband very much.

15. i will be a parent to a teenager in august.

16. i love my job.

17. i feel naked without my camera and phone.

18. i still have acne.

19. creativity and coffee are my drugs.

20. i really need a kick in the butt to start yoga.

21. i dance to seldom.

22. social media is fun.

23. i still love photography.

24. i like it when it is nice and quiet.

25. i love nature.

26. a perfect day include coffee, blogs, creativity and sunshine.

27. i need to do more stuff, not just talk about doing them.

28. i really need to not spend so much time online.

29. i like black nailpolish.

30. my pets make me happy.

31. i like to go to soccer games.

32. i´d really like to get a tatoo.

33. slow technology makes me crazy.

oh, and i had fun with the triangles too!

Take Twelve | May - the layout

I had a lot of fun creating the layout for the Take Twelve challenge this month! 

i made my photos into these polaroid kinds with the Polaroid frame option on picmonkey, it was super easy and then i just printed them all out.

A quick tutorial to make journaling spots in Picmonkey

i wanted to quickly show you how i am doing the journaling spots i have been using in PL lately. as i have mentioned before i have used picmonkey for this. 

ok, open up your photo and then follow me lead ;)

i have seen these potholders out in stores and they can be a bit pricey and i immediately knew that i could do them myself. 

i have collected stones all my life and i was thrilled to find something i could do with them!

i picked out the best flat stones in my collection and placed them in like a round shape to see that i had enough. 

then i used a pot to know which size i should cut my felt in. now, this was a bit thicker felt than i usually use. it is about 0.5 cm thick.

then i used my liquid glue (i am sure a glue gun would be even better) and glued the stones to the felt.

all done! i am sure i will make a few of these as gifts this year!

Project Life | week 19

here is my share for week 19. i can´t believe i am still going strong at this project! i am so bad at following through on long term projects! i am happy that i am this time though :) 

my album that is a ring binder is getting pretty thick and i think i am getting a new one for a second volume next week. 

this week was so much better than last week, thank god! 

here are the stories on the first page. 

top left: we laughed at my husband because he was a big anti-computer person just a year ago and this week, while doing work, he sat with 2 laptops AND his phone :) i added that heart in picmonkey.com as a sticker and just lowered the opacity so it is see through. my new favorite way of doing journaling.

top right: my first photoshoot of the season was to photograph my friends second daughter. i actually did a photoshoot with her first daughter at the same age, so that was superfun!

lower left: this makes me so happy! my daughter blogs, and she made this reflection of herself now and a year ago. i stole her post and photos :) she said i could! you can see how the extra pocket underneath these photos looks like, where the text is. i am sure i will be doing this again soon.

lower right: it rained so much this week, so we decided to get properly dressed and trim down our roses in the rain :)

upper left: i collected my FB statuses from the week.

upper right: small stories from friday and saturday; it rain so hard, my daughter got her second shot to prevent ovarian cancer and i included a screenshot from my click. post from wcs. 

lower left: my sister and her fiancé had a birthday party on saturday and i journal a bit about that. 

lower right: small stories from sunday, meetings, my daughter coming home from a weekend at her dads, lawn mowing etc. 

i have read a few interesting articles online this week and decided to include copies of then in my spread. they are just in clear page protectors and i folded them in half. 

thats it for week 19!

from pin to reality - stencil pillows

i pinned the above image a while ago and then i didn´t think i had the stencils to make them myself. but then we cleaned out the spare room in our house and i found a alphabet stencil! 

so knew i some lyrics from an old swedish song that would be perfect on throw pillows for my sister and her fiancé. 

before i started i had cut and measured the fabric so that i just had to sew it together when the lettering was done. 

i used a fabric marker and i took about an hour to draw all the letters.

here they are all sewn and done. it was easy and very fun!
i can already see the endless things i can make using this technique!

Take Twelve | May - the photos
