Summer bucketlist | Watch a sunrise

I thought I would write a bit about our short summer bucketlist. The summer isn´t over so I am not too worried about not having done everything just yet.

One of the things was to watch a sunrise. I had never seen one Before and thought this summer would be perfect!
So we got up around 3:30 am and packed some coffee and went down to the lake.

Now, I am so not a morning person but this was pure magic and so worth it!

Watching that little light getting up more and more was so cool! It went by so fast.

Do it! Just sacrifice one morning of good sleep and watch a sunrise. I am telling you the whole day will be magic after that.

So, watch a sunrise...check!

Project Life 2013 | week 28

Week 28

This was the last vacation week for me. we filled it with sunrise watching, phototaking and general lounging ;)

My love got the new iPhone 5 and I included a few of his photos.

For this pocket I printed some of Ali Edwards summer digital brushes onto plastic to create a background. I did this last year too and I love the look!

We also celebrated with a great yard sale, summer bbq with friends and some baby cuddles :) All in all a great week!

3 tips to phone photography

Do you use your phone camera a lot? I certainly do! I thought I´d share 3 tips on taking photos with your phone. Now, I use a iPhone 4s and haven´t used any other, so I can´t say anything about them, but I think users of any other phone can get tips any way.

1.1

1. Have your phone with you!

I know that most of us scrapbookers do use our phonecameras all of the time and that is because we have made a habit of doing so. I love having a small enough camera to be able to have it in my back pocket at all times!

1.2

2. Focus

My phone focuses well in general, but once in a while I want to be able to create a little depth of field (you know when something in the foreground is in focus and the background is a bit blurry), especially if it is a real close shot. Then, all I do (besides trying to keep real still!) is tap what I want in focus on my screen and then wait until it's set before I tap the shutter.

1.3

3. Alternative shutter button

My third tip is that instead of tapping your screen when you want to take a photo, just use the volume button! It creates a little more stability for your shot and essentially giving you a less blurry shot.

Happy snappin'!

Project Life 2013 | Week 27

Week 27

We took a roadtrip the three first days of the week, so I documented that and used most of the first page for that. I wrote one of my FB statuses from the trip on a yellow card.

I used embroidery thread to mark out our route.

Under the map there is photos from the trip.

Second page holds the story of my daughter starting her first summer job. We are very proud, she is doing good.

The other big story was that my new love rode a 5k race! We were all so very proud of him, and that he did it in 30 minutes flat was just icing on the cake!

He got a bunch of FB comments and I printed them out and included the story and more photos from the event.

Week 27 ended with a lovely sunset. As you are going to see next week, week 28 started with a spectacular sunrise!

Re-Scrap 2013 | July inspiration pages

Here are the three older pages I will use as inspiration to make three new scrapbook pages. I call this project Re-Scrap and I started doing three new pages each month using older pages that I liked as inspiration. I have done this since January 2012 and I still love it!

I simply love this hybrid layout. I think my new page will be very true to this design ;)

This is a page I made in July last year.

And here is the Take Twelve page from June 2012! I love the colors and the circle...

I know I will love making three new pages in July!
