Project Life | week 37

a little late in the week, here is my week 36.

just an ordinary week really.

i have used one of my favorite ways to include journaling on the photo here. i have a tutorial in this post!

the stories: i needed to get out after work and just let the wind blow out my busy mind.
my daughter texted and asked me if we could have a girlsnight with mani/pedis and facemasks :) as you can see we did!
i started a new photo project for the month.
our island is just so beautiful right now.

the stories: our new normal, skype talks with my husband.
i babysat my friends awesome kids on thursday.
my daughters biological father is getting re-married this saturday and they met up to try her dress on.
and on sunday my daughter just wanted to chop her hair off :)

ok, now i will get back to take the rest of my Take twelve photos!

Take Tweleve | what i love about it!

when Angie Lucas & Elizabeth Dillow asked me if i wanted to be on the Take Twelve designer team i had actually already decided to do the challenge!
i thought it sounded like a project that was easy enough for me to stick with for the year.

and now 8 months into it i do really enjoy it! if you read my blog on a regular basis, you know that i am very much an everyday scrapbooker. i always try to catch stories from our normal life.

and this project is just that. snippets of everyday life on the 12th of every month for an entire year. i have the 12th marked on my google calendar and it sends me an email on the 11th so that i am prepared the day after. it has been so good to have a kick in the butt to actually record a day, ordinary or out of, every month.

i see it as a compliment to my Project Life albums and my regular scrapbook albums. this projects just goes in a little bit closer on one specific day that otherwise might just be mentioned in my PL album and perhaps not even scrapped at all in layout form.

to Ella, thank you for the kick in the butt!

ps. get your camera ready for tomorrow!

She is so much like me | a layout

this is my neice Annika. she is one of a pair of twins. two eggs and it shows :)
for some reason i have always felt a connection to this kid. she is just so much like me! she loves to do all kinds of crafting and, my favorite, she loves to tote the camera around!

she even says: i am going to be a picture-taker when i grow up!
bless her sweet heart!

Instasummer | a minibook

i took a lot of photos with my phone this summer. and as they are not all as good to print in a larger format, they look great in mini format! i made my book with cardboard and baseball card page protectors.

i love these kinds of projects as they are a great way to use up all those smaller scraps i have laying around!

a lot of focus on the photos.

it looks cute and i love the feel of the plastic pages when i flip through!

and thatnk you monika for the page protectors and that AWESOME dandelion stamp ♥

Inspired by WCS

as you know i am a team member over at the Write Click Scrapbook blog. and i keep being so inspired by the different ideas and prompts from my fellow team members!
today is Write saturday at WCS. Amy has given us 3 journaling prompts and i have taken one and made a layout with my journaling. i have written journaling about how much of a fighter my husband is although he lives with such pain every day.
my journaling approach was to just pour my heart really. i wrote just how my thoughts came through when i sat down to write.

Down to the nitty gritty

in my last project life post i mentioned that my husband moved. well it is not really what you might think. he did move out, but only to move in with his parents as they are in the same city that his University is.

ever since last years things he hasn´t been able to fully work at his job doing that much physically hard work and has been having continuing medical problems. sometime in the beginning of this year we talked and talked about how the future would look like.

we knew that him working at his current job wouldn´t work at all and he felt that he didn´t know what to do. we talked some more and we decided that we were willing to cut back on a lot of things to make everything easier and to have him attend school again.

my husband works politically and one of the issues he has a special intrest for is the enviroment. so we found a program focusing on Geology in different aspects. he gets to choose from a wide range of directions during the 3 year program. the university is about 2.5 hours from us and we decided it was best if he lives with his parents during the weeks and have us visit eachother on the weekends. it will make for a big change for us all, but we do believe that it could work and it will give him lots of time to study in peace without the stress of everything at home can give.

but we sure do miss eachother.
