Project Life 2013 | Week 42

Week 42 

We had a busy week. We attended a spinning class which felt soooo good! My father got ill again, so we spend a few afternoons driving back and fourth from the hospital. The good things this week involved happy mail, picking the last berries from the garden. And ofcourse a short snuggle we had with my nephew :)

We took the ripe tomatos and made some yummy sauce, the day came when the hat season started and then the day after we had such a warm day! We made some soap during the weekend and watched a few movies. I also included a quote that I had thought about that week. 

There are only 10 weeks left to document after this! It is crazy how fast this year has gone by!

Re-Scrap 2013 | October finished pages

And just like that, the month of October has almost come to an end. I sometimes feel like the older I get, the faster time goes by. 

Older page. 

The new page became so bright, it was hard to take a good photo of it ;) 

I hope you get the picture though (pun not intended!). My daughter is manic about re-organizing her bedroom and closet! Like she does in once a week! So ofcourse that little current quirk had to be documented. I really like this format, and I keep saying that everytime I use it!

I actually made another page with this sketch, but that has to wait until the WCS November gallery goes live on November 1st!

Older page.

I know that this is not a direct life of the older page and that is ok. This project is not about totally scraplifting an older page, rather it´s about how I can draw inspiration from it to make a new one.

I liked the simple sketch elements so I used the overall sketch to create a simple layout aboout how my newphew loves to play with my new love. And a kraft background was so refreshing after not using them in ages!

Oh how I love this page design! It is so simple and yet you can mix it up how ever you want! The strips of paper makes all the difference really. The page is about how much fun we have spending time together...as you can see ;)

WCS | Stamping layouts

This is the Year Round set from Technique Tuesday. I think I used this the most while playing for Stamps week at WCS. For this next layout I made my own background paper with that outlined heart stamp.

As I mentioned in another post, I love using my watercolors to add some color while stamping these outlined stamps! And I don´t mind at all that I didn´t "stay inside the lines" ;)

I also used the outlined circle for the same purpose with this card. 

I used it like a title card on this pumpkin craziness layout! 

It was so much fun using the stamps and I am happy that I get to play with them even more! 

Gratitude Journal 2013 part 1

I wanted to make a gratitude journal this year. I have done a few through the years and even though we don´t celebrate Thanksgiving, I think November is a perfect month to set aside and really focus on the things we are grateful for. 

And just when I was thinking of how I wanted to put it together Shanna Noel posted on her Instagram that she had something sweet up her sleave that would include free printables and a lovely take on gratitude and how we can document it. Please go to her blog and see more!

I had pinned a free printable months ago.

These are meant to be used as table numbers for a wedding, but as they printed a perfect 3 cards next to eachother, I decided we will use this as a family gratitude journal. We are three and this way we can all write down our thankfuls each day of the month and have them all next to eachother!

So I cut the sheets to size and just made a simple brad binding.

Then I simply decorated my cover with Shannas printables. I love the colors! And I can´t wait to start filling this out come November!

Project Life 2013 | The long lost week 40!

Remember last week when I was very confused that one week was lost in my Project Life? Well, my new love figured it out very quickly; last week I shared week 39 and here is the long lost week 40! ;)

We had a quiet week, except for midweek when we were babysitting sweet friends kids ;)

The very last days of 30 lists in 30 days were shared in this spread. I love having all my lists at hand!

We put away the outside furniture for winter and added more pumpkins to our collection. My daughter spend a weekend with her friend and I swear that they had a screen infront of them at ALL times ;)

WCS | November gallery sneak

Gasp! It is October 22nd already and I haven´t shared my sneak peek och the November WCS gallery! It totally left my mind, but here it is!

I made 2 layouts this month and I had lots of fun!

WCS | Stamp week

Last week Laura hosted the WCS blog about stamping and she gave a few of us other team members the opportunity to play along!
I got to play with the Year round set and the Important stuff set from Technique Tuesday. I have to say that I am not a very good stamper, but these clear stamps were super easy to work with! 



When I saw This outlined dot stamp, I knew I wanted to make a background of it. So I stamped it multiple times and then Idded watercolors to it. And voila I had made my own patterned paper!

I did a few different colors.

I also made a monthly card to add in my PL albu with that Hello stamp.

The month cirlce stamp is so good for so many different projects!

Crafting | Positive quotes

Last week me and my new love volunteered at a local youth club at church. We had been asked by the leaders to lead a craft. I thought long and hard and then came up with the easiest craft ever :) 

I cut out "canvases" drom old cardboard boxes and asked the kids to find the letters to different positive quotes. They went to work right away and the best thing was the conversations that happened during the lettersearching! 

These are just a few that I brought as examples. They make me super happy and now they hang by the hallway mirror as reminders during the day!
