i played a bit with this weeks prompt (room). i could have taken a photo of my craft room or shared a photo with you from a favorite hotelroom or something else.

 but when i was out walking the dogs in the forest i remembered that when i was younger i used to be so curious about these wholes at the bottom of the trees. what was that? who lived there? so, for this weeks prompt i give you the secret room of...whatever you like ♥

we are going with a bit of a challenge next week.

granny square love!

i started making granny squares a few weeks ago. i bought some new yarn recently and i just new i wanted to make some rainbow squares. so it started...

and the pile grew quite fast. they are not all that big and i make them in the evening infront of the tv so i made them during 2 nights. 

a granny square garland it is! yummy too!

welcome to this weeks virtual coffee!

first i want to tell you that i am not whispering in this post, the small font is what my blogger is giving me right now and i can´t change it :(

anyhoo, if we were to meet for real today, i would tell you that i am so tired this morning! worked kicked my b*** yesterday and i crashed in bed by 9pm. i did however brighten up when i opened the blinds on my bedroom window and saw the sun :)

if we were to meet for real today, i would tell you that i had a wonderful day saturday. my husband was a way for work, but i took dixon to a friends house drinking coffee eating these lovelies (above) and crafting away! mmm, my kind of good day!

if we were to meet for real today, i would tell you that the tragedy in japan has made me really really think about how incredibly lucky i am to have all that i have! i watched some footage of that giant wave and still couldn´t wrap my brain around that t was actually real, not just a movie, you know?! crazy and scary! oh, and have you seen the flickr collab selling beautiful prints as a donation? if we were to meet for real today, i would tell you that my neighbours probably are used to me by now, but i guess i can´t blame them for thinking i am a bit loony since i just about bowed in honor to these yesterday! haha! i can´t tell you how incredibly happy it made me sooing the fist real sign of spring right outside the window!

if we were to meet for real today, i would tell you that now that i think about it blogger went wonky when i upgraded to explorer 9 :( i just might switch back!

if we were to meet today, i would show you my salt and pepper shakers, since i promised amy i would one day. aren´t they the cutest! 

one little word: midmonth update



i thought i´d share afew new things i have worked on for my  one little word project.

first i made a word cluster using wordle.com. i used a lovely post about a choosing ritual from the enjoy parenting site and made the cluster from the words in the article.

i just slipped the print in a page protector and added it to my album.

i also bought Ali´s new self paced class scrapbook on the road which is awesome by the way! and in that class she shared an idea about using quote strips attached to a transperency sheet. i loved that idea so i used it here. the quote:

so, this (above) is how it looks with the next page beneath it.

the task for march is to focus on something from what we invited with our word in the first post. i chose to focus on my energy by choosing better food and to walk regulary and to surround myself with happy things. to showcase this i made this (above+below) with energy filled photos and colors.

right now i am working on a mid-month update in my album. and this page is still in progress and will be finished tonight. i like to just write down the progress to keep me ontop of the task.

the simple things # 18

i am going with this photo that i took out in the forest while walking the dogs this week. i liked how i almost could see a sun in that piece of wood. made me happy!

are you familiar with  wood&stool?

well, it is a dutch based little company that does (among other things) very cool wooden stools and those cool wood christmas trees, did you see them?

ok, so they had me there really! but then i saw these scrap wooden signs and i just fell in love!

and even though i think you should totally buy some from the company! i thought maybe i could whip some up myself!

we had all sorts of scrap wood laying around and some pieces were painted in different colors others were left bare. then i used my alpha stamps to stamp my messages.

the signs are now put in little nooks in my home for our viewing pleasure :)

i´ll have to take some pictures of that too!

oh, and you know what is their newest product? yup, granny square garlands

cosmo cricket love

i am loving the fact that cosmo cricket has gone digital! that means that i can use their cute products without waiting for a package to ship from the other side of the ocean!

i usually stalk the email i get on one buck wednsday from jessica sprauge :)

and there have been so many good deals there!

in this layout above i have used:

and i think both were one buck each at one point. oh, and i believe that these 2 kits will get in handy when i am going to scrap all those trailer adventures :)

ps. i am off to spend some time with the cutie girl in that layout and her mom today! yay!
