Re-Scrap 2013 | December finished pages

I hope that you all have had a wonderful Holiday and that you are well rested and loved! We had a wonderful time spending the Holidays with my family! I do have some news, but that will have to be in an other post ;)

So, here they are. The very last Re-Scrapped pages of 2013! I have done 3 pages, but one of them was perfect for a coming WCS gallery, so I can´t show that one yet!

Old page

I am mostly a centered girl keeping my pages center aligned, so it is fun to play with a right hand aligned sketch. As you see this is such a simple page with both computer journaling and stamping. 

Old page (And one of my very favorites of all time!) 

I used the old letter writing technique for my journaling on this page. I think perhaps beside lists, using the letter writing tool is my favorite way to do journaling. I think I will have to do even more of that in the new year! 

And that, my friends, marks the last of this project for now. I will be back shortly with a post on my thoughts and plans for the new year!

Re-Scrapped 2013 | pages #3

As I said in my previous Re-Scrapped post I wanted to make another version of one of the inspiration pages. So, that same night I did this one.

It is more true to the older page I used as inspiration. Using the list method of journaling is one of my favorites. Initially I wanted the title to be I remember, but I went with I love and then listed a few things I love about the last year with my love.

This became one of my favorite pages I did this year!

Ok, now I am totally finished with the pages from November ;)

Here are the last 3 older layouts that will be used as inspiration to make 3 new scrapbooking pages in 2013. I am excited to show you all the new layouts I made this year out of this project! Did you see that post last year? 36 new pages! And this year I have made more!

I haven´t splattered paint in a while ;)

I am super inspired by the simplicity in this!

This is one of my very favorite pages! It is based on a sketch I have used over and over again. 

Oh, and did you see that I wanted to make another take on one of the November pages in my last post? Well, check in tomorrow to see what I did last night ;)

From this older page as inspiration I actually made a two-page layout. I like doing these photo collages as they add so many photos to one page. In the older page I didn´t really need that much journaling, but for the newer, I wanted to add more. 

There is where the second page comes in handy!

Older page

I used the circles as inspiration from the older layout. This new one is alot more simple and clean. Hm...I think I will have to make one more page, because I do love how the older page has the circles more in a grid...

I used circle png files from Paislee press. In pickmonkey I changed colors and made a cluser using different opacities in the circles. 

One more month of Re-scrap 2013! I will be back very shortly with 3 new pages for December!

Re-Scrap 2013 | November pages post #1

Normally I do one post at the end of the month where I share my three new pages I have made with the three older inspiration pages. But something very cool happened this month, so I will have to share the layouts in two seperate posts. This older page above had such a great sketch I actually made 5 pages using it! Yes, 5! In one sitting! Wow!

First I made a regular scrapbooking layout on paper. Using the sketch made it supereasy ofcourse! 

Then I decided to use some of my Simple Stories pocket pages to make the rest of the layouts. This one above is the first you see in the album and...

This is the second page. I realize this has just 3 pockets, but the all around design is there. 

I also used the pocket page with 4 pockets. These make it so easy to just add a 3x4" card in there and I can just print my photo in that size also. 

This is the last page and just like that I have made 5 pages in like 20 minutes!

I think I might challenge myself not to use PL cards for this one! It is tempting though...

 

 

This is such a great way to use many photos one just one page!

Re-Scrap 2013 | October finished pages

And just like that, the month of October has almost come to an end. I sometimes feel like the older I get, the faster time goes by. 

Older page. 

The new page became so bright, it was hard to take a good photo of it ;) 

I hope you get the picture though (pun not intended!). My daughter is manic about re-organizing her bedroom and closet! Like she does in once a week! So ofcourse that little current quirk had to be documented. I really like this format, and I keep saying that everytime I use it!

I actually made another page with this sketch, but that has to wait until the WCS November gallery goes live on November 1st!

Older page.

I know that this is not a direct life of the older page and that is ok. This project is not about totally scraplifting an older page, rather it´s about how I can draw inspiration from it to make a new one.

I liked the simple sketch elements so I used the overall sketch to create a simple layout aboout how my newphew loves to play with my new love. And a kraft background was so refreshing after not using them in ages!

Oh how I love this page design! It is so simple and yet you can mix it up how ever you want! The strips of paper makes all the difference really. The page is about how much fun we have spending time together...as you can see ;)

I like throwing in different sizes on layouts in my albums!

A low color hue. Wonder if I will go with that or use some color on my new layout?

Re-Scrap 2013 | September finished pages

I was going to share this post a bit earlier last week, but life got in the way and here I am a few days into the new month. Here are my three new layouts I have made with the inspiration of three old ones I have done before. This is a project I have done for almost 2 years and I call it Re-Scrap; every month I choose three of my older layouts that I like and draw inspiration from them to make three new ones. This way even if I don´t get any other scrapbooking done, atleast I know i will have three layouts each month!

A photo of my daughter and her new baby brother. I think I could use this layout on every page. I think it is just the right amount of place to add patterned paper.

I had to make a layout about how much tomatos we got this year! I used one PL card from the Midnight edition and patterned papers trimmed down to size for the others.

This is how we hangout together in 2013 :) However we all sit with our devices and everyone is ok with it!

Re-Scrap 2013 | September inspiration pages

Happy September and here are my three older pages that I will use as inspiration to make three new layouts during the month!

Since President Obama is visiting Sweden I went back to my US scrapbook for two of these pages :)
I love this layout. I think it is because the photo drags you in. But also for it´s easy composition.

This is one of my favorite sketches. I have actually used it a few times before :) 

I think I will play with some PL cards for this one!

this is a project i have wanted to do for a long time. i sometime have troubles with design on my scrapbook pages. well, what troubles me is re-newing myself. i want to try new things, but i 

don´t want to make pages that are not me. and i have done pages i really love, so i thought i´d make it a priority to choose 3 old layouts every month of the year and use them as inspiration for new pages. i mean, i am not re-scrapping the event or page, i am using the entire page and/or some elements of it to use as inspiration. i will share which 3 old layouts i am working with sometime the first week of the month.
