Project Life 2014 | Week 12

Let´s start this week with a little Project Life inspiration, shall we!

I used a lot of pieces from the march edition of Cocoa Daisy´s Day in the life kit for the spread. I like to include quotes on my pages since I love them and keep finding ones all over the place. I think it can show the mood of a week/period in a good way. This week my fiancé was away for training and I included a photo from home and one from the training place next to eachother to show the differences.

The right card says: I would never want to be without Swedish spring. Oh, is that true! I love the change in nature that comes with an extra hour of light, more sunshine and spring flowers!

I also have an insert continuing the march meme I did on Instagram that I called #whereistandmarch2014. I used a puffy sticker, a flair and used washi tape on the wood veneer triangles.

The second page holds mostly photos from our weekend. We had such a good one! Not many words showing here, but I have two flip pockets that holds more journaling.

I had a bit of trouble with those Studio Calico black and grey flag clips as it kept sliding of the plastic. But I just used my stapler and that fixed it!

And I am still loving the crap out of the fact that my daughter and her dad send me photos of her and her little brother, so that I can document their playdates!

I have been looking back on the year so far in my album and it is still one of my favorite things to do. I will have a post about that up soon!

Happy Monday!

Lists with friends 2014 | 18 rules of living

Dalai Lama´s 18 rules of living.

#1 take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

#2 When you loose dont loose the lesson.

#3 Follow the three R's: Respect for self. Respect for others. Responsibility for all your actions.

#4 Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

#5 Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

#6 Don´t let a little dispute injure great friendship.

#7 When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

#8 Spend some time alone every day.

#9 Open your arms to change, but dont let go of your values.

#10 Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

#11 Live a good honourable life. Then when you get older and think back you will be able to enjoy it a second time.

#12 A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

#13 In disagreements with loved ones deal only with the current situation. Dont bring up the past.

#14 Share your knowledge. Its a way to achieve immortality.

#15 Be gentle with the earth.

#16 Once a year go someplace you have never been before.

#17 Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

#18 Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

I love this list!

WCS | Minibook made with a Jenni Bowlin kit

March is Minibook Madness month over at WCS.
This time I worked with the September 2013 Papercrafting kit. When I was planning on what my minibook would consist of I saw that the 30 days of lists were going to start on March 1st and that was that; a 30 lists mini it would be!

Here is a look at the finished book. I had pre planned pretty much all the design for the inside pages.

The book is made with just patterned papers. I trimmed the 12x12" papers to 6x12" and simply folded the pieces in half. For the binding I used 2 staples. I first poked holes for the staples with my craft needle and simply pushed the staples in those and closed them.

For the cover I just played with the great things in the kit. The stamp works as a base and then I just added the letter stickers and embellsihments.

I wanted to use tags on each page for the lists. There were a few tags in the kit, but I decided to cut mine from the cardstock in there instead. I cut them all out and added a small punched out circle from a black paper in the kit to the tag before I punched a whole.

This is how they turned out! That black circle makes all the difference, no?

Here are a few quick looks inside. I knew the list topics since it is a paid event and printed each list as a strip. One of the girls doing the challenge made a pdf with numbers so I cut those out aswell.

Then I started listing! I have done this project before I knew i would like it!

I love the chunky feel that this mini has! And i hope that it will inspire you to make something like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Memorykeeping | Love on Skype

I might be late to the pie chart thing, but it is such a fun way to add some patterned paper to your layout! I used papers from past and present Cocoa Daisy main kits for mine. I sliced a circle and numbered each piece and just traced them on to the patterned papers. Rough them up with my craft knife and put the chart together a bit messy. To add some of the same scheme I painted the Ali E flag stamp with my watercolors.

The photo is a rather bad screen shot from when my daughter visited with her little brother and we talked on Skype. I love that I get to scrapbook their relationship!

Thanks for stopping by today!

WCS | April gallery!

Hello april and hello new gallery at Write Click Scrapbook! This month it is all about ME! Or you for that matter, the pages in the gallery has the theme Starring me. Many scrapbookers forget to scrapbook about themselves and focus mostly on other peoples stories. I do however see a shift in this since Project Life has become bigger and I am so happy about that!

Here is the page I did for the gallery!

This layout was fun to do! I have done pages like this before, but the list changes, doesn't it? The journaling card is one from the digital Project Life Neapolitan mini kit that I added some words to before printing it out, then I did the actual journaling by hand.

Now, go check out the rest of our gallery
