Magic Monday (on a friday) | vacation

i was going to share this post on monday, making it a real Magic Monday post. but as we cut our vacation a bit short i wanted to just say i am back home again. 

my husband got a fever late last week and i got it last night. as we were still in the camper we looked at the weather forecast it said rain, rain, rain. we decided we would just pack up and head home. i was actually delighted, i am a homebody and was really missing the cats and my garden ;)

we did have a wonderful vacation although we had sooo much rain. 

the nature was magical and our view was too. we were gifted with beautiful sunsets and the chance to experience spending time with eachother, even though my daughter gave up a week into it and fled to her grandmother ;)

it was magic driving up to the house. the grass had grown so much and my garden, wow! it had just exploded! i can´t wait until my fever is gone so i can go out and mow the lawn and get to work on some weeding.

until then i am going to work in my summer mini so i can have another update for you very soon and i am doing a fun post for write click scrapbook for next week!

Magic Monday

these photos were actually taken a few weekends ago, but i wanted to include them in todays magic monday post.

my husband has been on sick leave from work for a long time since his seizure problems late last summer and from his accident before that. by this past autumn he was going insane just staying at home all the time, so he took up fishing. he loves it and i am so happy that he has found something that soothes him and where he can fuel his energy. a few weekends ago we decided i would go with him. 

it was pure magic all the way!

we left home early and came to the place just as the sun was rising and everything was so quiet and calm. we spend the whole day in our small boat just fishing, talking or not talking, just taking in everything. he turned to me and said; this is my sanctuary. do you see why? oh yes, i saw and felt why.

the weather was totally wonderful this weekend and at night the light was magical.

this weekend we went away, me and my husband. we went to a sweet bed and breakfast out in the woods a  few hours north of our island. we were gloriously lost for a bit and saw some magic forests and sunrays sweeping over moss. but we arrived lastly to this cute house from the 1700´s that a couple from holland restored over the last 4 years. they could have just broken the house down and build a brand new one, but i am so happy that they didn´t. they restored this beautiful house with all natural materials and they worked so very hard to make it magic. 

this is the house to the right of the living house that held a antique store also run by the couple. 

this was the perfect spot for us to spend our afternoon. we sat and talked for hours and enjoyed the sunshine. we were served a lovely soup lunch right there on the deck. we could choose from about ten different seating areas around the garden. but this was the perfect spot. 

the tomato soup was magic.

we sat and read books. we sat and listened to nothing else but birds chirping. 

the inside of the house was simple and rustic.

the owners also live in the house and they serve ecological homgrown and/or local food.

we had a magical time. just what we needed.

in the beginning of the year i stumbled over this site called TUT`s Adventurers Club. the founder is mike dooley and here is his short presentation

basically he inspire people to live a different life. anyway, i signed up to get his daily messages from the universe. i like to think that the universe speaks to us in different ways. i also believe in faith and kismet. there just has been so many situations where everything has been so right to think that they (or stuff leading up to them) are coincidences. so every week day i get an email with a message just for me :) 

i have gotten a few that have been so spot on and the other day i got this (below) and it was too good to not share! 

"Lisa, if you could take a daily pill that would profoundly speed-up the manifestation of all your dreams, would you take it without fail? 

I thought so. 

What if it was a big, ugly pill that took 5 minutes to dissolve on your tongue, and it tasted like medicine. Would you still do it?

Yes, all of your dreams... 

Thought so. 

But what if during those 5 minutes each day you couldn't watch TV, or talk with friends, or distract yourself in any way from your chore?

Wow, you must really want a fabulous word of the year, and all those other awesome life changes! 

OK, what if you could skip the pill bit entirely, but instead you had to set aside 5 minutes a day to visualize, in a dark and quiet room, seeing your life unfold as if all your dreams were coming true, and for good measure you had to say or do something, each day, that implied the same? 

No, you can't go back to the pill idea.

Magic Monday

once again the magic is about weather. i think its jinx-free to say that spring is here! 

the birds are busy singing and making nests for new babies. 

a few tulip leaves have broken through the moist dirt in my flowerbeds. snowdrops and crocuses paint the greyish grass a little happier.

i can sit outside in a t-shirt and feel the soft breeze against my skin, that promptly gets warmed by the warm sun.

our cats want to be outside more and we can follow their short hunts for a stray fly or mouse through the window. the front door is kept open so the freedom of roaming in and out are up to the cats entirely.

the scent of spring is in the air. you know the parfume that is a mix of dirt, water and manure. the scent of something coming, something new. 

magic. magic i say.

the magic i will talk about briefly today is the magic of nature. this time it is the magic of snowfall. these photos were taken february 2nd. 

the sun was shining and the flakes kind of glowed in the rays. it really looked liked it was silver sprinkles!

perhaps the fact that on the night i was born, it snowed like in a movie; large and calm snowflakes, plays a role in how i feel when it snows.

finally i have the time to sit down and do a magic monday post. 

i have been thinking about magic alot lately. trying to see magic when it happens just like that. here is some random thoughts:

- i shared a lot of love ideas during my blogging week at WCS last week, but my favorite post was fridays where i shared a few random acts of kindness ideas. i have done a few of those and it always feels abit like i have butterflies in my stomach when i do. and that time a few years ago, when my daughter and me found a message in a bottle at the beach was one of the times when i have been on the recieving end of something magical and random :)

 - i have a board at pinterest where i have pinned things that mean magic to me and it makes me so happy to just scroll through the images.

Magic Monday

this monday i have a list over small things that meant magic to me; 

* i had the experience of amazing energy last tuesday. some of you know already that i suffer from depression and anxiety and that my energy level is the one thing that always is low. but i actually stopped and thought about how energetic i felt even though i had extra things both monday and tuesday and that usually makes me even more tired. it was pure magic.

* i got a few extra special emails last week that made me feel so good about myself, them and the world in general.

and living in a place on earth where the traffic stops regularly for these guys :)
