virtual coffee

if we were to meet for coffee today i would tell you about "virtual coffee". i know weird, right :)

i have been thinking about my virtual life lately and what a huge role it plays in my "real" life. i started really getting into the internet in 2003 when i found two peas in a bucket as i was starting to scrapbook. i signed up and started by reading and looking through their gallery every day. eventually i started sharing my work as well and just fell in love with the community and the love surrounding it.

if we were to meet for coffee today i would not be able to fully tell how much the internet and the people i have met through it mean to me. even though i have actually met almost anyone in real life, i really think that i have real friends all over the world! and that is such a big gift!

if we were to meet for coffee today i would tell you that i started this blog in 2005. i started because i wanted to have a place to share the things i liked, made and my thoughts. even thought i had no readers haha! that has changed dramatically! especially since i started sharing my work on my places, involving myself in online communities and groups. and especially after i became a team member at Write Click Scrapbook ofcourse! 



if we were to meet for coffee today, i would tell you that Suzanne Bailey made my entire year, that day when she emailed me and asked if i wanted to join her and the other ladies at Suziebeezieland :) at the time the blog was passwordprotected and we had such a rich community with awesome women that i have been friends with ever since! isn´t it amazing?! the internet has really made the world closer and easier to get connected even if there are thousands of miles between people.

our weekend

the simple things #9

this week i am choosing this photo from our weekend hotel getaway. we checked into an old castle and we were all mezmerized by it´s old and beautiful rooms. this photo show our rating + a short love note to the hotel by our daughter ♥ we love that she loved everything as much as we did!

one little word - january

i joined ali edwards online class at big pictures. and this is what i did for the january prompt.

ali suggested we use a 9 slot page protector, but i didn´t find and so i did the prompts in these 4 slot page protector instead. we got a few printables, such as journaling cards for a definition, quotation and thesaurus. i just blinged them up a bit :)

i am looking forward to next months post!

a minibook

i made a simple minibook using my favorite photos from 2010. i printed the photos 2 and 2 straight from Word. for the front page i used some of the pink minibanners from my shop. i curled a few of them just using a pen as my helper. added the cutie camera from kitchy digitals.

in the minibook i only added bits and pieces from my scrap basket. and also a flashcard from my Love flashcard download. sometimes i added a staple or something else small.

i also had some magazine clippings that i thought were perfect for this project!

i also had some words i had printed from my computer that i just cut and pasted where ever i thought suited. i am in love with that at the moment :) 

such and easy was to make a mini look cute!

52 photos in 52 weeks - week 1 roundup

what an awesome response we have had for this 52 week project!

both me and monika are thrilled that so many of you have joined us! and remember that it is not to late to join the party, just add your photo to our flickr group and also check the other photos out!

so, our first week we had the prompt to each take a photo on january 1st at 20:11 (8:11pm).

i confess that i was a tad bit early, but that is ok with me! i was in bed reading at 19.30 and felt that, oh, i might just take a quick nap :) so i set my alarm to get up and quickly snapp a photo. and i like it!

ok, so are you curious as to what prompt we are going to interpret this coming week?!

by choosing a number on our list, we came up with

INDEPENDENCE

i am actually glad that we got this one now instead of in july :)  is more of a challenge this way!

so, independence...

- can go together with confidence

- someones first steps

- travelling alone

- a new collage student living on their own

- symbols of independence

just some things that popped into my mind! i can´t wat to see what you all come up with!

scrapbooking shares!

 these are a few of the layouts i bashed out during new years eve actually! i scrapped infront of the tv :)

a few favorites from 2010, like resturant moment, start, social media etc. it doesn´t show here, but the sky in the photo matches the october afternoon patterned paper ;)

i took the layouts from my favorite post and made them into a mosaic and just printed that right out. i love seeing them all in one glance!
