friday alread

I cannot belive that almost a week has passed yet again! So, to make up for my absence I am going to make this post a long one! :)
What have I´ve been up to? Well, acctually I have been scrapping! It makes me happy to be in the loop again :) You can see a few here in my SIS gallery but here are a few too.
My daughter gave me this cute santa helper and I love it!

I was chosen to be on the "catwalk" over at SIStv which makes me very happy since it was like the first layout I had scrapped in a month!

We celebrated an early Christmas yesterday, since my daughter isn´t going to be spending acctual Christmas with us this year. Here are a few photos from then.

I was having a bit of insomnia the other night and I totally came up with what my New years resolution will be for 2008. I am going to journal everyday during my last year of being not 30 :)Not that I am really freaking out or anything about turning 29 in february, but more that I love the feeling of a journal. I made this mosaic from my flickr journaling favorites (there were many!)

1. Shadows, 2. button tree done, 3. button_trees, 4. Button Flowers, 5. wide-leg lounge pants, 6. i love flickr, 7. Everyday Bokeh, 8. two new e's for my collection, 9. Tomato, 10. film.144, 11. emerging, 12. buttony goodness, 13. birthday breakfast, 14. for grey days, 15. from the kids, 16. at this moment, 17. I love you, 18. Jellies, 19. Close-up on the Little Hearts, 20. The Coolest Couch Ever

So, today I went into the bookstore, while in the city, and bought myself my Moleskine journal! I am so happy :)

And today was a happy happy mailday! Nicole mailed me this cutest Holiday package with yummy things in it! It made me smile all day! Among other yummy things she send me this awesome book! I love to be able to put out seasonal books for Christmas. Thank you so much, Nicole!

The theme song for me this week has been Bob Dylans "I belive in you" I love that song! It is repeat on my stereo :) Otherwise I have been listening to Christmas music 24/7.

I was at a thrift shop yesterday and found some small things. Among other things I found an old music sheet book with carols and this cute pin cushion :)

I have to run to work now! Last day before the holidays! Yippie!

happy sunday

I so got a stomach thing friday :( blah! anyway I am feeling better today so that is fine! I mean I work with kids so I ought to get something sometime, right?!

I did some crafting while I was not worshipping the WC God :) First, I scrapped :) It feels good to like force myself to do this, because I really want to. I have taken more photos this month too, so that helps too. Dont faint but I acctually used some glitter on a page! I know! :) I have taken a quite bad photo of the layout because lets face it I LOVE my scanner and I am not ready to introduce it to any kinds of glitter :)

Well, acctually now that I see that photo I see that the glitter isn´t really showing all that good. I put glitter around the photo because my daughter had glitter in her hair for the Lucia celebration.

And well I just had to use that silly Christmas photo for something so I scraplifted myself for this one. That is acctually a really good way to get that mojo flowing. Go through your albums and lift something you loved making! So, first here is the "original" from the exact day last year December 12th.

And here is the lifted version.

My daughter had her gymnastics show the other week and it was so much fun to see her in the costume much like the one I had when I was traning a hundred years ago :) She did really good, but the thing I thought was the cutest was that she kept wiggeling her toes in the rythm of the music :)

We have made some Christmas candy this weekend. And my daughter did some gingerbread baking the other day. Yum yum!

9 days until Christmas people!!! Where does the time go?!!

fredag 14 december 2007

Hi all! Here is a little Holiday Q A for you!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper for sure. I love wrapping presents.

2. Real tree or artificial? We used to have a real one, but my all the work with that! And we usually go away over Christmas so there is noone to take care of the tree then. So now we have a fake beautiful one!

3. When do you put up the tree? We always put it up on the 13th, but now with the school Christmas plays always being that evening we cheat and put it up the night before.

4. When do you take the tree down? After Christmas I am usually aching to get everything down! So a week or so after.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don´t really remember. But I know I always wanted a puppy and then when I got older a pony! (never got neither!)

7. Do you have a Nativity scene? I do, but we really need a new one, because I am sorry to say it but papa Joseph lost a hand… and as he is a carpenter he really needs both hands!

8. Hardest person to buy for? My father in law and brother in law.

9. Easiest person to buy for? My daughter!

10. Worst Christmas Gift you ever received? Well, iam a sucker for all gifts so, I can´t recall any.

11. Mail or email Christmas cards? Definitely mail.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Love Actually

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I like to buy gifts all year round, because I think that it should be like that. I want to go somewhere and just see something that would be perfet for someone, not just buy everything on a persons wishlist.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yep

15. Favorite things to eat at Christmas? Oh my all the candy!

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Clear once for sure. I cannot stand any that are twinkling in all colors!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Let it snow and Silent night

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Hm…no but Rudolph is the most important one right!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? We have a golden star.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open on Christmas eve, which we celebrate on the 24th. After having Christmas dinner.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? The shopping craziness. I am in awe of how many people get in debt bying Christmas gifts! I am all about finding one or two special things for each person on my list and then still have money left.

23. What is the “silliest” family tradition you do, or miss doing? I'm not sure that we have a silly family tradition.

24. Ugliest Christmas Decoration ever invented? Well, I have to go with blinking tree lights.

25. Which looks best, theme trees or homey trees? I like an old fashioned homey tree.

26. Gingerbread or sugar cookies? Gingerbread!

I was pondering youtube and found this. I love it video!

I thought the kids in the school play this year were so cute and they all did a great job!

happy lucia day

Today we are celebrating Lucia in Sweden. That means seeing ladies in white with candles all day long :) My daughter has a Christmas play going on tonight so offcourse we are seeing some of that too :)

Yesterday we put up our tree. I love it every year and it was great this one too. We took a bunch of photos infront of the tree. But it took like 10 tries to get to this one :)

Among others....this one...

haha

I have also sent of all my holiday cards AND 3 suprise Christmas packages! Yay! i love suprises! I hope everyone like what they are getting.

This weekend I am making Christmas candy. And I am really looking forward to that. Just a whole day in the kitchen getting all floury and I just have to test the candy too :)
I think I will be making some of these crafts too.

shopping bags
bath mits
marble magnets

And I just found a really crafty blog this morning where I have found a lot of cute cool things to make. Check it out!

Karoline: I have a system to my albums! You can read more about that here. I just recently got an album set up just for me too! And thank you very much for that link to Scrapperiet!

I was the favorite of the day here! Which makes me happy!

I am babysitting these 2 this afternoon and that makes me happy too!

Have a happy day! ♥

i love lists...

...have you all noticed :) Here I am not posting for almost a week and feeling bad about that...but I don´t belive in rambling kind of posts so then there is none at all for a while! Here is a list though:

♥ Go here for awesome kinds of stationary and cards.I think some of these products can be great Christmas gifts. And you still have time!

♥ Check out these gingerbread houses! Cool eh!

♥ And you are not like me (who loves Christmas parties! see photo!) you can use this party excuse generator!

♥ And if you have some foam laying around you can always use them to make some of these!

I still love all these cuffs!

Kidley had some great tips on what to give kids if you have many in your family.

♥ And if you are all in the Christmas stress you might want to do a "Not-to-do-list" like this.

♥ And if you are like me that loves my Moleskine you can enter their contest everyday until Christmas to win some goodies!

♥ And how have I not seen this?!!

♥ I am just saying: how cool is this!

♥ I lost myself here for an hour and a half this afternoon.

And I leave you with a photo of my favorite Christmas flowers!

monday happy monday :)

I am back after a weekend of runny nose and a bit of a fever. We had some rotten weather too. Just raining and raining :( This is not how I want decembr to be like. I want snow and cold beautiful days! I guess that weather is not doing wonders for my mojo either. I haven´t scrapped in weeks! Yikes! A friend of mine called me yesterday and she decided we needed to get together this weekend to scrap together. I am hoping that my mojo has arrived until then!

I did manage to get a little advent minibook together though. Just a simple thing to where I can add a few photos from each of the 4 advent sundays.

While I was having no fever this weekend I did wrap (or atleast started to wrap) our Christmas gifts. I am going with kraft paper for them and I am using red and black ribbon. I may stamp a big stamp on them to to decorate a little. I have orange pieces to dry and when they are all dried up I am attaching them to each of the tags too.

The first photo shows the gift wrap I am giving my gift to a co-worker in. I think it looks lovely :)

While I was out walking the dogs out back this morning I glanced over at the house and saw this.

It is my kitchen window and although it is one of my biggest fears that someone would stand outside my window looking in, I had to get the camera and capture this.

And i am happy to say that the Sew Mama Sew crew has me featured on their blog today! I am so happy that they recognized me :)

Have a wonderful day and look out for my many many layouts coming soon :) I must cheer myself on a bit :)

Edited: I just saw my visitors counter and we are almost at 2000 guys! If you find that you acctually are number 2000 leave a comment and there maybe a goodie bag coming your way!
