Project Life | week 42

Week 42

I have one insert this week. Here is a view of  the spread before I flipped the extra and after.

The stories:

For monday I did the 2 photo card that I posted about here.

The upper right card holds photos from when my husband actually was home for homework :) and then a photo he texted from the airport as he was on his way to Amsterdam to visit with his brother.

The lower left card holds a FB status of mine from while he was home. 

I added my playlist for October.

My daughter posted a photo on Instagram from wednesday when she got out early from school.

Here is a look at the insert. We found out that I am going to be an aunt again in February! But it was a secret half of the week (front page) and then on saturday it went "public" (back side).

The stories: 

WCS had a fun Halloween week and I had a fun and easy craft up.

We have had such a fun week having Dixon at home. 

The lower left card is a "On my desk" kinda thing.

And the last one has a hilarious text convo between me and my daughter that happened on saturday morning. She is just so funny! 

This awesome arrow paper is a free download from The sweetest occasion and I loved using it for the background on two of my cards this week.

More on this craft on this card next week as I am planning a From pin to reality marathon! 

And that my friends is my 42nd week of this project and I just can not believe that I am still at it ;) Only 10 more weeks of 2012.

From pin to reality | painted jewellery

I found this very cool and easy way to alter your cheap jewellery and had to try it!

 A week or so before I saw this pin I had thrifted a ring base that I think earlier had a watch insert.

I am sorry for the not so good photo, but I had some teal nailpolish and a great little stone pebble that I had picked sometime on one of my many, many, many trips to any beach :) It was extra good, because one side was almost perfectly flat.
I painted the pebble twice with the nailpolish and then used my glue gun to adhere it to the ring base. 

The glue messed alittle, so I ended up trying to paint it also. 

Ta-da!

From pin to reality | Crochet hat

I am so excited about this one, because when I had learned this I made about six hats!

These crochet hats looks kind of beanie like, but if you (as did I) just continue to crochet for a few more rows it gets that slouchy look that I love. 

The hat pattern uses a stitch to make the ribbed band and then the puff stitch to make the rest of the hat. It might sound complicated, but once you learn them they are so easy, I promise! 
What I learned though, was that the pattern requires quite a lot of yarn, since with the puff stitch you gather yarn 4 times = 4 double stitches for each. 

I am making a few for Holiday gifts!

Re-Scrap 2012 | October page inspiration

Here are my (late) pages that I will draw inspiration from in the month of October for my Re-Scrap project. I don´t re-scrap the story, just use older layouts that I like to use as inspiration for designing new ones.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I will have some time this weekend to scrap, so that even though I am super late in posting these (and getting started) I will get them done before November!
