my weekend

i spent the weekend with my sister and her family. the days started early and the nights were sleepy :) i am not used to small kid life anymore ;)

the weather was fantastic and we spent as much time outside as possible. the kids were all messy, dirty and tired by the end of the days which is awesome in my book!

i also spend an afternoon with my grandmother which i enjoyed very much and was much needed. 

we did some massive shopping saturday, so my clothing account is empty as can be :)

i will be back tomorrow with this weeks virtual coffee! i hope to see you then.

poppytalk spring colourweek 2011

i very much enjoy the colourweek challenges that occur from time to time on flickr. right now it is the poppytalk colourweek  and if you are not yet a partof it, you should check it out, it is so much fun seeing all the other photos and even more fun going on a color hunt each day!

the rest of the week is going to be lavender (thursday) and white (friday), i will be back with those.

52 photos in 52 weeks: week 14 roundup and new prompt

gosh, this past week has been crazy, but i am so happy to see all the cool stripes in the flickr group!  here is mine...

i absolutely love the light that our bedroom gets through the day. and i love letting the sun in through the blinders. this is what i get then...stripes.

during week 15 we are turning that lens towards ourselves, the theme is ME. here are a few thoughts...

you could go with a selfportrait...

or seven, one for each day...

you could take a photo of something that represent "me"

or make a little collage of photos that represent "me"

i want to remember...

the first layout about Linda after her passing. just a simple one with her obitunary tucked behind the patterned paper. i have a few planned with more journaling on them.

i make these welcome spring pages every year. this is the 2011 version!

melvin really seemsto have found his home here after more than a month in our family. he is such  a cuddler :)

and lastly i used the self photo i took while out in the forest with my peeps :) a different kind of family photo i guess!
