crochet much?

One of the things on my list for this year is; crochet. and i have done fairly much alread i think! i got 2 books for my birthday which i love. the first one is a book by Ericka Laurell. the book is in swedish but her blog is in english, if you are interested in getting crochet tips and patterns. the book has a vintage feel to it and has so many cute projects. just the cover is delicious i think! there are patterns for everything from a bikini to necklaces. here are a few projects:

the other book is one from author frida pontén. and omg! i love this book so much, i have already made quite a few projects from this one. the photos are colorful and the patterns are easy to follow even for a hobby cochetter like me. here are a few of the projects from the book that i have already made:

i used this (photo above) pattern to make my 2 very first hats! isn´t it lovely. i used other colors...here is the green one:

when i finsihed the hat i wanted something extra, so i threaded a green ribbon through the holes and made a neat little bow. for the other hat i chose 2 different yarns:

the little flower detail is from this pattern below.

this thin kinda scarf was so easy to do i just have to take some photos of the ones i have made!

these balls are now on my keys so that it is easy to find them in my bag ;) these would also make a cute necklace i think.

next project for me is to make small flowers maybe to cover up sauce stains on my daughters white t shirt:

i´ll let you know how that goes!

scrapbook sunday

i guess i have to make a new feature sign and change the saturday to sunday since i rarely have the time to actually post my layouts on saturdays!

this past week my daughter has had a terrible cough and was home and so has i :) to makes stuff alittle more happy we took out the colorbox and painted her feet :)

i actually started to make this layout friday since it was hot pink friday over at for the LOVE of COLOR week flickr pool. obviously it is about my love for my pyamas and slippers :)

again, a photo from a bored afternoon at home with a sick daughter. i used a favorite quote from storypeople:

There has never been a day when I have not been proud of you, I said to my daughter, though some days I'm louder about other stuff so it's easy to miss that.

(in real life this layout is not as "acid" as it shows here.)

the weather gods have thrown us a few curvballs this month. march first it was a snow blizzard from hell and then the next day it was all blue sky and lovely :)

polaroid heart project

i have seen so many of these cute hearts made of polaroid prints around the internet. among others this one from dear lizzy.

and this one found on flickr

i love this and i also loved the fact that it is so easy to do! as i don´t have a polaroid camera i used the application from poladroid.net and used on my photos. opened them in a word document and printed.

after cutting them out i played around with placing and when i thought it was good i added gluedots to the back of the photos (make sure the glue dots are removable) and put them up!

as you see i used 18 polaroids and you can easily do more ore even less, just make sure you have enough to make the shape that you are after! my pola heart makes me happy where it sits on the bathroomdoor!
