scrapblog

well, since SIS has a new partnership with Scrapblog i decided to make a go with it. have you tried it? i love to mess around with paper and glue with my own hands so this will never be a substitute, but it is always fun to try new things. and the Scrapblog people makes it very easy! i have been browsing Digital galleries online lately, since these days the digital layouts are so much like "real" ones that i can hardly see any difference. i can easily take inspiration from those too. and lets face it, most of my layouts are really hybrid. i love to take digital kits and use them as print outs to use on my projects. and i make a few journaling spots and the acctual journaling on the computer too. don´t you do the same thing?
A few of my current favorite digital kits and brushes that I have purchased are:

DigiKit - Sweet Spots Journaling Tags
By Cherie Mask

DigiKit - Urban Junque Rub-on Kit
By Rhonna Farrer

DigiKit - On the Edge Journaling Kit
By Katherine Teague

Free Digital kit- June 2008

Here, school is out for the summer and it was as beautiful as usual in the church where the school always has a celebration at the end of the school year.

Today i am dusting, cleaning and re-organizing my daughters bedroom...

I just wanted you to know that I still have some magazines left...

I have been watching Amelie from Montmarte on you tube :) I am in love still with that movie. Have you all seen that there is a challenge blog inspired by Amelie? Check it out. For me it is way to my freestyle, but I am amused by the promts.

I managed to pull of 2 new layouts. I love that I could catch her jumping in the pool this year!

And this melts my heart everytime; her little cousin idolizes her :)

Oh and the new blog banner was simply made by using the June Free Digital Kit from 2peas.

Schools out on friday this week and we are hard at work doing some bookmarks as teachers gifts. I know that they are nothing like these, but it is ok.

I am beat and I still have a few birthday cards to create :)

back...

i am back from reality :) it is nice to take a break from this internet world sometimes, even though i don´t have anything against it at all. i have gotten to know so many good people through this forum.
Anyhow, this has been my reality lately.
Friday was
Swedens nationalday and we had a free day. So, me and my daughter went to my sisters house for some goood pizza and spend the night.

We took a quick turn into IKEA and at the sales corner I saw this lovely painting. I had to take a photo of it because i didn´t buy it, i am going to use it as inspiration when i paint my own :) But if you want to buy it, just follow the link above :)

Saturday morning, bright and early!, we took a drive down to Gothenburg and attended these two´s baptism. A warm and quite messy event :) The temperature was an all time high and the church was so full! My heart melts everytime I see this sight.

My daughter and her little cousin loving eachother ♥

I just had to take a photo of the candy bag we had as cargoodies :)

Oh, and thursday we all took a trip to the public pool where I acctually did go in 3 times! I hate going into cold water, but as I went in the lifeguard informed me that the water held a lovely 29 degress celcius. And i snapped a few photos of my fish for a daughter :)

And ofcourse i took like a gazillion new photos of my neices :) but I am saving them for some layouts.

isn´t this lovely!

Read this:

"Please go out there and do. Live. Don’t be the same as yesterday. Don’t live vicariously online. Don’t use language that has no meaning or talk ideas you don’t really live. Don’t hide. Don’t copy others or live their ideas or life. Don’t fear doing your thing. Don’t fear doing. Instead of reading a decorating magazine, paint that room. Instead of thinking of baking, do up a cake. Run, walk, bike. Put that self help book down and pick up yourself.

Let go of the snark, your worries, your anger and fear and give into possibility, action, joy and life. Do. Do some more. Stop thinking about you. Stop blogging about just you and your kid and your pet. There’s a world out there to connect to, really connect to and email doesn’t count. Being of use is more important than being popular. Think about the lady down the street, the person at the drive through, the man fallen in the street, about politics, the environment, healthcare, another country and then do something about it. Never stop at thinking.

Dream big, work harder. Have lots of fun, lift a finger, do something for someone else. Cheer your friends on. Cheer yourself up. Celebrate as much as possible. Enjoy everything. Right now. It’s OK to want more and do more but be present with where you are or who you are with. Don’t rush the situation - even if it’s bad. Move on when you can. Don’t settle. Try everything you can and get over everything holding you back.

Go outside. Go outside yourself. Make a difference, make some change. Don’t complain about someone unless you’re talking to that someone. Don’t complain about a situation you’re not willing to make better. They don’t have it better and you don’t have it worse. Don’t make excuses. You’ll never see possibility if you do. And you’re smart and worth more than settling for a life of complaining and limitation.
Hope. Hope more. Give someone else hope. Get healthy and contribute to a healthy environment. Think about everything you do, you buy, you say. Only be lazy on Sunday and even then, be conscious. Rest is useful, giving up is not.

Live with a light heart. Play more. Remember what it’s like to be seven. Remember to listen to a seven year old because you just have more words and life experience, not necessarily more wisdom. Have more questions than answers and don’t put everything into words. Sometimes just feel things and be. Be quiet more often, listen harder, talk exactly as you mean to.

Strive for your best and not what you think someone elses’ best is. Follow through. Don’t let others’ down. Don’t let yourself down. You are better than your circumstances. Ask for what you’re worth. Make magic happen don’t wish for it. Don’t envy others’ lives, envy yours. Live it fully. Teach by example how to live well, how to be treated, how to be kind, how to be alive.

Do. I can’t stress that one enough. Take action on your life. Make the change. No more sulking, waiting, thinking, reading, talking about. It’s time. You’re ready."

ALEX BEAUCHAMP

Through Ali´s latest newsletter I found Hygge House and Alex. Go there and just enjoy!

This especially struck a note for me..."Stop blogging about just you and your kid and your pet. There’s a world out there to connect to, really connect to and email doesn’t count." So, I am going to go out and live for the rest of the week. No internet or blogging...wish me luck!

want some?

Since my little "throw-away" session the other day i realized that I have a few new scrapbooking magazines that I now feel like I can pass on to someone else. So if you are interested in any of the following copies email me at: lisa.mrs@gmail.com

still on overdrive :)

i am still on a high after the announcment on scrapjacked :) I am so happy about all the really cool layouts the ladies have made! And apparently "iRock" because Stacy Fike thinks so :) So i just had to "jack" myself and make this

:)

Acctually i have scrapped a few layouts since last time. I just had to record Dixons first day with us. There is hidden journaling behind all the photos.

And I can´t belive that I haven´t made a layout about my love for thrift shops and yard sales! So, i took a photo at a yard sale i attended last saturday.

I am really loving the red cardstock as a background on this, so I used the same one this next one. It gives a warm and nice feeling to it. I love these photos that I used here. They are my new fave!

I took all of my older scrap magazines out with me to the garden and started going through them and ripping out the ideas I like. I have saved magazines from 2004! It was so time for a "throw out" session!

I had alot of the "old" Memory Makers magazines, but I didn´t save almost anything from them. Nor from the "new" Memory Makers...I guess I am much more of a Scrapbook etc. kind of girl! And I would have been a "Simple Scrapbooks" girl if we had that magazine for sale in Sweden...And it was very much fun to see how the scrapbook trends have gone forward and evolved so much just during the last cuple of years!

Ok, gotta go and make dinner :)

Playing with the dogs on the beach, chatting with my father-in-law and mother-in-law, eating pizza and whatching late TV. My father-in-law was playing with his new camera and took a few really cute photos of us.
