A giftalbum

when my daughter started her last school semester in grade 6 in january of this year, i decided to make her a little simple photoalbum with random photos of this time in her life. this is very much inspired by stacy julians 180 days mini that she made for her son that graduated high school. 

now, this is not an album where i have spent days making. or wait well i have kind of because i have obviously collected photos during a few months :) but what i mean is that it is not embellished really. i have added some tags or words strips to a few photos but that is pretty much it. 

at first i wanted to add journaling in a few slots, but changed my mind. i wanted this to her album that she could show her friends and they don´t have to know all my mushy feelings about her growing up way to fast :) 

i did however list her current favorite music and left 2 pages for her to journal herself. 

i wanted to show this page because it is the most embellished one, just so you get the feel of how simple this project is! 

i love that i gave her this! love it!

Take Twelve | July - the photos

i took my 12 photos yesterday and this month i took just random photos throughout the day. when i looked at them later i saw that food was a big thing yesterday :)

i used my phone for all the photos this time. i will be back soon with my layout!

a bit late here are my rescrapped pages for June!

re-scrapped page. i have made a photo mosaic of a few flickr favorites that make my heart sing, so go to the link to see where they all come from! the journaing talks about why i love dandelions. it might be hard to spot but i added the word magic to the page aswell.

i turned the design for this page. at the time i didn´t have to 6x4 photos that i could have used on the page.

Summer minibook | update #2

we are home from vacation but i still have a few pages in my summer minibook that i did while we were away that i haven´t shown you. 

the left page is obviously a big photo and on that i have journaled about how i am so sick of the rain! and the right page is one of my favorites so far! i printed out my photos in a square format and when i went into my stash found that they fitted perfectly on the manilla tags. the journaling talks about how i love that me and my daughter loves to spend time together. 

right page: i had my watercolors with me while on vacation and just played around with them making these hearts one night. i took a Instax photo that i really love (i am still learning the settings etc.) and added it to the page. i am going to add some details to the page later. 

left page: here is my first today page for the summer. i still love how current that makes my book!

and i wanted to include a photo of my workplace during vacations not so rainy days :)

Magic Monday (on a friday) | vacation

i was going to share this post on monday, making it a real Magic Monday post. but as we cut our vacation a bit short i wanted to just say i am back home again. 

my husband got a fever late last week and i got it last night. as we were still in the camper we looked at the weather forecast it said rain, rain, rain. we decided we would just pack up and head home. i was actually delighted, i am a homebody and was really missing the cats and my garden ;)

we did have a wonderful vacation although we had sooo much rain. 

the nature was magical and our view was too. we were gifted with beautiful sunsets and the chance to experience spending time with eachother, even though my daughter gave up a week into it and fled to her grandmother ;)

it was magic driving up to the house. the grass had grown so much and my garden, wow! it had just exploded! i can´t wait until my fever is gone so i can go out and mow the lawn and get to work on some weeding.

until then i am going to work in my summer mini so i can have another update for you very soon and i am doing a fun post for write click scrapbook for next week!
