Scrapbooking week - day 2

this is a layout about how my grandmother passed away this past february. i actually used the journaling that i used in my project life album from that week.  since i saved the journalcards i did in PSE i just printed those out again straight on my background paper. 

i like to have some of the more important and big events in both my project life album and in my regular scrapbook albums. 

still i am so very happy that i wrote out this right after she passed, because memories fade and details are lost so easily. now i will always remember how i felt and how it happened. 

oh, and i really dig the layout too :)

Scrapbooking week: day 1

i had some time to do some actual scrapbooking pages this weekend! wohoo! and i thought that i will fill the blog with them this week.

this is a page about our oldest cat. he is like the lion king around here :)

i printed the different shades of chevron paper from Erica Hernandez  (this must be one of the most used paper kits i have ever bought!). 

i inked the edges and roughed them up and then layered the papers.

and then i added the black splashes of color. i tend to always do this step last...this far i haven´t had any mishaps, but maybe i should start with it?! either way, i cover up the part i don´t want to get any paint on and splash away!

that is my layout share for today, i´ll be back all week with new layouts each day!

 

Project Life | week 11

after last weeks overload  this weeks spread is pretty simple. i still want to add something about a convention that my husband attended, but i will do that later. 

ok, this is page one. in the upper left corner i used this weeks magic monday blog post printed on transparency over a photo i took this monday. the upper right corner photo is of a letter and sweet drawings from a girl in afganistan that we sponsor. i added the poststamp from the letter.

lower left is a yummy photo of sallad representing the new diet my husband is on. and as he is cooking everything in this house i will be on it too :)

lower right have two instax photos from the lovely spring day on monday. 

i did a RAK (random act of kindness) last week and this week i got one in return :) i added the card to the upper left corner pocket.

the right photo is from my daughters phone and i have added a few ali edwards word art brushes to it to add a kind of graffiti look. there is journaling underneath the photo.

i had my hair cut again :)

and the last pocket is the books that we are reading right now :)

Take Twelve | March - the layout

Yup, I did a digital layout this month! I used a template by Cathy Zielske that is a free download. I felt like I needed an easy way to create something cute with my Take Twelve photos, and I am happy with how it turned out!

my inspiration this month was a bonus idea shared in the Take Twelve Guided Inspiration Kit .

so, the photos from march 12 th are the things in which i saw some sort or magic.

i plan to print these pages out and slip right in my Take Twelve album!

in the beginning of the year i stumbled over this site called TUT`s Adventurers Club. the founder is mike dooley and here is his short presentation

basically he inspire people to live a different life. anyway, i signed up to get his daily messages from the universe. i like to think that the universe speaks to us in different ways. i also believe in faith and kismet. there just has been so many situations where everything has been so right to think that they (or stuff leading up to them) are coincidences. so every week day i get an email with a message just for me :) 

i have gotten a few that have been so spot on and the other day i got this (below) and it was too good to not share! 

"Lisa, if you could take a daily pill that would profoundly speed-up the manifestation of all your dreams, would you take it without fail? 

I thought so. 

What if it was a big, ugly pill that took 5 minutes to dissolve on your tongue, and it tasted like medicine. Would you still do it?

Yes, all of your dreams... 

Thought so. 

But what if during those 5 minutes each day you couldn't watch TV, or talk with friends, or distract yourself in any way from your chore?

Wow, you must really want a fabulous word of the year, and all those other awesome life changes! 

OK, what if you could skip the pill bit entirely, but instead you had to set aside 5 minutes a day to visualize, in a dark and quiet room, seeing your life unfold as if all your dreams were coming true, and for good measure you had to say or do something, each day, that implied the same? 

No, you can't go back to the pill idea.

Magic Monday

once again the magic is about weather. i think its jinx-free to say that spring is here! 

the birds are busy singing and making nests for new babies. 

a few tulip leaves have broken through the moist dirt in my flowerbeds. snowdrops and crocuses paint the greyish grass a little happier.

i can sit outside in a t-shirt and feel the soft breeze against my skin, that promptly gets warmed by the warm sun.

our cats want to be outside more and we can follow their short hunts for a stray fly or mouse through the window. the front door is kept open so the freedom of roaming in and out are up to the cats entirely.

the scent of spring is in the air. you know the parfume that is a mix of dirt, water and manure. the scent of something coming, something new. 

magic. magic i say.
