Down to the nitty gritty

in my last project life post i mentioned that my husband moved. well it is not really what you might think. he did move out, but only to move in with his parents as they are in the same city that his University is.

ever since last years things he hasn´t been able to fully work at his job doing that much physically hard work and has been having continuing medical problems. sometime in the beginning of this year we talked and talked about how the future would look like.

we knew that him working at his current job wouldn´t work at all and he felt that he didn´t know what to do. we talked some more and we decided that we were willing to cut back on a lot of things to make everything easier and to have him attend school again.

my husband works politically and one of the issues he has a special intrest for is the enviroment. so we found a program focusing on Geology in different aspects. he gets to choose from a wide range of directions during the 3 year program. the university is about 2.5 hours from us and we decided it was best if he lives with his parents during the weeks and have us visit eachother on the weekends. it will make for a big change for us all, but we do believe that it could work and it will give him lots of time to study in peace without the stress of everything at home can give.

but we sure do miss eachother.

  1. You are blessed to have been able to come to this decision together, even though it was a tough one, and to see the better life awaiting you. You CAN do this. It will be tough and lonely, but you CAN do this together and grow stronger through it all. Hugs.

  2. Having come to this decision together only shows how strong your marriage & bond to each other is. While the 3 years may seem forever long now, I think you'll be amazed at how quickly they will fly by!
Just think of all the good that is going to come from this for your husband and you & your daughter!!! WOW!
And weekend reunites can become quite creative and fun for both of you.
Absence makes the heart grown fonder.......right?
